The Palace on Wheels Tariff:
The Palace on Wheel’s ticket price is available in USD for foreign passport holders & in INR (₹) for Indian Nationals & OCI card holders.
The price varies based on the date of departure. Lean season fare is for the two months of September & April. High Season tariff is for the months from Oct to Nov &from Jan to March. Peak season ticket price is for the month of December only.

Jungle excursion in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve by 15-seater open-to-air canters for all categories of Cabins
Elephant joy ride in Jaipur; sound and light Show at Chittor Fort; boat joy ride in Udaipur; camel joy ride at Sam sand dunes; cultural program with dinner in Jaisalmer; cycle rickshaw ride in Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary; and visit to Taj Mahal.
Complimentary use of sharing dongle Wi-Fi connectivity.
Complimentary use of a mini-gymnasium facility.
Extra Costs (not included in train tour):
Consumption of alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages.
Video camera fees at monuments & wildlife reserves.
Laundry; use of spa facilities; tips & gratuity; porter fees; tour insurance & all other expenses of a personal nature.
Over the past four decades, Palace on Wheels was operated by the Tourism Dept of Rajasthan State Govt (RTDC) but has been privatized from Sept 2023 onwards.
The new train tour operator (a Joint Collaboration of Cube Construction and Easy Toll Solutions) has amended the booking terms and cancellation rules .
Palace On Wheels Booking Procedure:
Clarify your nationality viz if Indian national or foreign passport holder or OCI card holder.
Advise depart dates with the number of persons & cabin type required to check availability.
In case of children & 12 years travelling with you, we also require their date of birth.
To process booking, we require passport copies of all passengers.
In the case of OCI card holders, we require a copy of the same.
Booking will be confirmed upon receipt of 30% of the published ticket value (inclusive of taxes) as an advance deposit.
Payment can be made either by credit card or bank transfer.
Balance payment must reach us 65 days before the tour departure.
If a booking request is made less than 65 days before tour departure, we require a one-time full payment to confirm the booking.
Travel kit & e-ticket will be forwarded one month before departure.
Train operator prepares the saloon/cabin allocation chart only one day before departure.
In case of further changes made in tariff or taxes by the train tour operator, the guest is liable to pay the same.
Payment Options :
Foreign passport holders can pay either by credit card authorization or Swift bank wire transfer.
Indians pay by NEFT/RTGS transfer through an Indian bank.
CANCELLATION TERMS - Palace on Wheels
Since September 2023, the Palace on Wheels train tour has been privatized and is now operated by a Joint Consortium of M/S Easy Toll and Cube Construction Ltd.
The owner of the Palace on Wheels train is the Tourism Dept of Rajasthan State Govt (RTDC).
Royal Indian Trains is the authorized booking agent (General Sales Agent)of the train tour operator & its liability is limited accordingly.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing & acknowledged by us.
Minimum 10% cancellation fee on published ticket value (inclusive taxes) if request received more than 91 days prior to tour departure.
Minimum 25% cancellation fee on published Palace on Wheels ticket price (inclusive taxes) if request is received between 90 days to 61 days prior to tour departure.
Minimum 50% cancellation fee on published ticket value (inclusive taxes) if request received between 60 days to 31 days prior to tour departure.
100% cancellation fee (viz. NO REFUND) if cancellation request is received less than 31 days prior to tour departure.
In case of failure to make a balance payment more than 64 days before departure, the entire advance paid stands forfeited.
Train tours will operate subject to the booking of a minimum Seventeen cabins.
The current train tour operator (a Joint Collaboration of RTDC with Easy Toll Solution and Cube Constructions) must give at least thirty days prior notice if a scheduled departure is going to be cancelled for any reason.
In case a scheduled departure is cancelled by the train tour operator for whatever reason, they are liable to make a full refund of the train ticket of Palace on Wheels advance received (without any additional liability to compensate CLIENT for any other claims for financial loss or mental harassment suffered, etc.)
Requests for change in the names of passengers or journey will be treated as cancellation & governed by Cancellation Rules.
The Train Tour Operator reserves the Right to amend Tariff, Booking Terms & Cancellation Rules at Short Notice & CLIENT is liable to pay the same ( irrespective of the advance already received.)
In case of an increase in Govt Taxes, the guest is liable to pay the difference.
No refund if self curtailment of journey by guest, for whatsoever reason.
In case of request for postponement of journey due to Medical Emergency etc., supporting documents are required & the same will be forwarded to Train Operator Management. Their decision will be final.
No refund will be made, in case the guest does not have a valid Indian Visa.
IMPORTANT :
We suggest that overseas guests pre-purchase tour insurance from their country of origin/travel.
It is mandatory for Foreign Passport Holders (of any nationality) to pre-apply for Indian Visa.
There is NO Visa on Arrival facility in India- for Foreigner of any nationality.
Maximum liability of Royal Indian trains is limited to that of booking agent only.
Disputes (if any) are subject to jurisdiction of courts of Gurgaon NCR Delhi (India) only.
